Internally Displaced Persons in Rivne Receive Food Assistance
In Rivne, internally displaced persons are receiving food packages provided by the Rivne Regional Charitable Foundation “Our Future” as part of the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response in War and Post-War Recovery.”
“The project targets specific groups of people, taking into account various vulnerability factors — displacement, loss of income, destruction of social networks, and limited access to medical or other essential services,” — explains service provider Nataliia Fesovets.
“We visit places of mass accommodation for IDPs and shelters — we distribute food packages and inform people about other project opportunities, such as free consultations with a psychologist, a lawyer, and a family doctor.”
Nataliia (name changed), a displaced woman from Kharkiv region, expresses her gratitude:
“The war pulled the ground from under my feet. Life has changed completely. Today, I’m grateful for the basic things I once took for granted. This initiative is wonderful, and I truly thank you for it.”
“The project covers a wide range of services — from providing humanitarian aid, legal, psychological, and medical consultations to assistance with evacuation, resettlement, and multi-purpose cash support for urgent household needs,” — adds Iryna Orlenko, Director of the “Our Future” Foundation.
“It is implemented by our foundation across Rivne and Volyn regions.”
In Ukraine, the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response in War and Post-War Recovery” is implemented by the Alliance for Public Health with financial support from the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC, UK) and technical support from the Christian Aid charity organization.
The project’s goal is to support communities by addressing urgent humanitarian, social, and medical needs and helping people live with dignity during times of crisis.
