Перший у Здолбунівській громаді майданчик для діток з особливими освітніми потребами!
The first playground in the Zdolbuniv community for children with special educational needs!
What used to be an overgrown and neglected area has now become an inclusive playground for children with special educational needs. All this became possible thanks to the mini-grant competition implemented within the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response in Times of War and Postwar Recovery” and the initiative group of the NGO “Women in the Community.”
The NGO’s application was among the winning ones, and today we can already enjoy the results of their project — “Barrier-Free Space.”
Let us remind you that the Zdolbuniv Inclusive Resource Center operates within the Zdolbuniv City Territorial Community. More than 465 children with special educational needs are currently supported by the center, including 27 children from internally displaced families and children from large families. The institution provides psychological and pedagogical assistance to children living in Zdolbuniv and neighboring communities. It is on the adjacent territory of this institution that the new playground has been built — a place that will bring joy and support to children and their parents.
In Ukraine, the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response in Times of War and Postwar Recovery” is implemented by the International Charitable Foundation “Alliance for Public Health” with the financial support of the Disasters Emergency Committee (UK) and technical support from Christian Aid.
The goal of the project is to support communities by addressing urgent humanitarian, social, and medical needs, ensuring dignified living conditions in times of crisis.
