We continue to be deeply moved by the stories of people we meet through the implementation of the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response during War and Post-War Recovery.”
Originally from Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, Tetiana lived a stable and fulfilling life before the full-scale invasion — her own beloved home, a good job… Hostile missiles and shelling forced her to leave her hometown, and Tetiana went abroad. The events she experienced took a toll — an old leg injury became problematic, requiring surgery, and Tetiana decided to return to Ukraine.
Since October 2022, she has been living in Rivne. Managing her disability status and the costly medical treatment financially exhausted Tetiana, so she turned to the Rivne Center for Social and Psychological Assistance for support.
Later, the Rivne Regional Charitable Foundation Our Future joined in providing help. Thanks to multi-purpose financial assistance, Tetiana was able to purchase medicines crucial for maintaining her physical health.
Despite her illness and ongoing uncertainty, she did not let it stop her own charitable efforts. Tetiana, as a volunteer with the NGO “Unbroken by Faith”, actively participates in supporting and equipping servicemen carrying out combat missions, defending Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity under martial law.
In Ukraine, the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response during War and Post-War Recovery” is implemented with financial support from the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), United Kingdom. The project, aimed at supporting communities by addressing urgent humanitarian, social, and medical needs and ensuring a dignified life in crisis conditions, is carried out by the Rivne Regional Charitable Foundation Our Future with technical support from Christian Aid and coordination by the International Charitable Foundation Alliance for Public Health.
